Start Locations for Nashoba Valley Pedalers Rides
This list contains the official names of and directions to many of the start locations for NVP rides. The names and directions will be used in the newsletter and on the website. Ride leaders who start rides from one of these locations do not need to include directions in their ride descriptions.
Each location has two parts:
· The name appears in the first few lines of the newsletter entry for the ride. If the name contains the town name, there is no need to include the town name in the location name (e.g., “South Acton Commuter Rail Station”). Otherwise, the town name (and state if necessary) is included.
· The directions to the start appear at the end of the entry.

Acton
Name: Gates School, Acton
Directions: Gates School is at the end of Spruce St. (off of Rte 111 and Arlington St.) in W. Acton.

Name: Nagog Park, Acton
Directions: Nagog Park is off of Rte 2A in Acton about 1 mile NW of its intersection with Rte 27. Park in the right side of the lot away from the stores.

Name: NARA Park, Acton
Directions: NARA Park is on Ledge Rock Rd. off Rte 27 about one mile N of its intersection with Rte 2A.

Name: South Acton Commuter Rail Station
Directions: The station is on Central St. near Main St. (Rte 27) in S. Acton.

Ayer
Name: Nashua River Rail Trail parking lot, Ayer
Directions: From the east, take Rte 2A into Ayer center. Follow 2A-111 when they bear around to the right. Turn right onto Groton St just past the NAPA auto parts store, then right again into the rail trail parking lot.

Name: Victory Market, Ayer
Directions: From the east, follow Rtes 2A-111 through Ayer center, turning right after the center to continue. At the fork where 111 goes right, continue left on 2A. Victory Market is on the left a short distance beyond the fork.

Bedford
Name: Minuteman Rail Trail, Bedford
Directions: The head of the Rail Trail is at the junction of Railroad Ave, South Street and Loomis Street less than 1/2 mile from routes 4 and 225 in Bedford Center. Park behind Bikeway Source at the intersection.

Berlin
Name: Berlin Orchards
Directions: Berlin Orchards is on Rte 62 about one mile W of I495 (Exit 26) in Berlin. Park on Sawyer Hill Rd. beyond the buildings, not in the parking lot.

Name: Car pool parking lot, Rte 62 and I495, Berlin.
Directions: The car pool lot is just W of I495 (Exit 26) on Rte 62. From the southbound off-ramp, turn R then immediate L into the lot.

Bolton
Name: Nashoba Regional High School, Bolton
Directions: From exit 27 (Rte 117) on 495, follow 117 West for approx. 3 miles. The High School is on the right opposite a Pizza restaurant.

Carlisle
Name: Kimballs Ice Cream, Carlisle
Directions: Kimballs is on Rte 225 about ½ mile E of the rotary in Carlisle Center. Park to the right, away from the stand.

Concord
Name: Monument Square, Concord
Directions: Monument Square is in Concord Center on Rte 62. Parking is available in the municipal lot on Keyes Rd.

Name: Municipal parking lot, Concord Center
Directions: The parking lot is accessible from Rte 62 or Keyes Rd. in Concord Center.

Name: Sanborn Middle School, Concord
Directions: The school is on Old Marlborough Road roughly halfway between Rtes 2 and 117.

Name: West Concord Commuter Rail Station
Directions: The commuter rail station is in West Concord on Commonwealth Ave. near its intersection with Rte 62.

Groton
Name: Groton-Dunstable Regional Middle School, Groton
Directions: The school complex is on Rte 119 W of the center of Groton. From the Rte 119-111 intersection, go down the hill. The school complex will appear shortly on your right, and is easy to miss.

Hingham
Name: Station Street parking lot, off Rte 3A, Hingham Harbor
Directions: South of Boston, take Rte 3A south to Hingham Harbor, turn right on Water St. (after Liberty Grille and Sovereign Bank, just before Sunoco Station), then next immediate right on Station Street. Park in the municipal lot left. Approximate drive time is 70 – 90 minutes from the Concord Rotary.

Leominster
Name: Southeast School, 95 Viscoloid Ave., Leominster
Directions: From the east, follow Rte 2 west to Exit 33. Go straight, passing through two sets of lights. Take the second left onto Johnson St. and then a left at the traffic light onto Viscoloid Ave. Southeast School will be on your right at the top of the hill. Park on the side of the school. From the west, follow Route 2 east to exit 33, getting onto Route 190 toward Worcester. Take the first exit (exit 8) and turn left off the ramp onto Nashua St. Turn right at the traffic light and go straight through the next light. Take the second left onto Johnson St. and a left at the traffic light onto Viscoloid Ave. Southeast School will be on your right at the top of the hill. Park on the side of the school.

Littleton
Name: Old Littleton Train Station
Directions: The old train station is on Taylor St. in Littleton. Taylor Street is the first exit to the west of Route 495 off Rte 2. After the exit, drive towards Littleton for about a mile. Park on Taylor Street.

Name: Erikson’s Dairy, Maynard
Directions: Erikson’s Dairy is on Rtes 117 and 62 about 1-1/2 miles W of the 117-27 intersection.

Nashua (NH)
Name: Roby Park, Nashua NH
Directions: Take Rte 3 to Exit 1 in Nashua. At the bottom of the ramp, turn L onto Spit Brook Rd. and go through two stoplights and two flashing lights. Roby Park is on the left just past the fire station.

Name: Stow Shopping Center
Directions: Stow Shopping Center is on Rte 117 in Stow a few miles W of its intersection with Rte 27 in Maynard.

Sudbury
Name: Fairbank soccer fields, Sudbury
Directions: The Fairbank parking lot is on Fairbank Rd. opposite the pool, corner of Fairbank and Hudson Rds., Sudbury.

Name: Peter Noyes School, Sudbury
Directions: Peter Noyes School is immediately S of the intersection of Rte. 27 and Concord Rd. in the center of Sudbury.

Name: Wayland High School parking lot
Directions: Wayland High School is on Rte 126 about a mile SW of its intersection with Rte 27.

West Boylston
Name: Picnic area on Wachusett Reservoir, Rtes 140 and 12, W. Boylston
Directions: The picnic area is at the intersection of Rtes 140 and 12, just N of the bridge over Wachusett Reservoir in W. Boylston. Park at the side of the road, across from the old stone church.

Westford
Name: Abbot School, Westford
Directions: From I495, take exit 32 (Boston Road, Westford), go west on Boston Road (under 495) to Westford Center. Turn right on Lincoln Street along edge of common. Bear right to join Main Street (fire station on right). Bear left on Depot Street at fork. Abbot School is on the right, about 1/3 mile after fork.

Name: Robinson School, Westford
Directions: Robinson School is on Rte 225 a little over a mile west of its intersection with Rte 110 in Westford.

Westminster
Name: Meetinghouse School, Westminster
Directions: Follow Route 2 west to Exit 25. Go right off the ramp following Route 2A west. Take a right at the traffic light, staying on 2A west. South St. will be on your left at the top of the hill, just as you enter the town center. Meetinghouse School is at 8 South St., on your left, across the street from the police station.
